Crosfield Nursery School

History

Established in 1946 and located within the vibrant and culturally-rich London Borough of Croydon, Crosfield Nursery School is at the heart of the local community in South Norwood. The school actively embraces Croydon’s ambitious Better Start vision, which seeks to bring together services for children from birth to age 5 years and their families, through multi-disciplinary teams. Crosfield Nursery School is Federated with Selhurst Nursery School, and is commissioned to offer an increasing range of Children’s Centre services across the borough.

Our School

As one of Croydon's five Maintained Nursery Schools, we are committed to providing affordable and accessible, high-quality education to children between the ages of 2 and 4. We currently offer 78 part-time places for 3-4 year olds and a further 34 places for 2-3 year olds in an integrated provision, equipped with a large outdoor space and on-site Forest School area. We also provide wrap-around care with both a Breakfast Club (from 8.00am) and and After School Club (up to 5.30pm) available.

We are a fully inclusive setting, and work closely with a range of professionals to ensure children's needs are identified early, so that appropriate support can be put in place to support children to reach their full potential.

A reflective and long-standing staff team enables strong relationships to develop with families across generations. It is these families and, particularly, their children, who provide the driving force and focus for all our work.

Visits to our school are strongly encouraged, so please do get in touch and come and see the wonderful provision that is on offer.
